Mr. Shiv Kumar, the visionary Founder Chairman of Kumar Group of Industries , is widely credited as being an entrepreneur par excellence in the entire Uttrakhand State. He is best described as a compassionate humanitarian, who has dedicated his life to building not only a large multi-dimensional organization but also uplifting the lives of thousands of people in the state. The institution that he has built and the values and vision that he has inculcated has actually helped transform the area from backwardness to prosperity. It has always been Mr. Shiv Kumar’s vision to build a business model with an intrinsic ‘social conscience’. Mr. Shiv Kumar belongs to a renowned 100 year old business family of freedom fighters of Hapur, Distt. Ghaziabad. He is the founder member of Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI). He is a past Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Kumaon Division.

Believe in Action – Not in Fate: Mr. Shiv Kumar says he has always enjoyed every situation and has faced difficulties in life with honesty and perseverance. He has taken risks in life and as per him : “Action should be given importance in life and not fate because action is in our control but fate is not”.
An organization is a reflection of its people: He says“An organization wherein everyone has a common goal, common vision, common mission, common practices to achieve the common objectives is truly a great organization. The people in an organization should be happy, content, healthy and committed towards the common objectives”. We must all recognize that our organization is like an umbrella to us protecting us and taking care of our comforts. In fact, our very entity is due to our organization and the organization’s entity is not due to us. We should be thankful to our society, our organization, our environment and most importantly our Nation and continue to serve them all”.
Go for quality at any cost: “Technology, Quality, Systems, Experience, Principles and Volumes are key to survival of an organization. So we should invest in these and not worry about the costs”.

Desired Candidate Profile
We need a person who can place himself as per his expertise area and work exposure. Some people are Jack of all trade but master of none. A person should have primary knowledge of everything but, he should be responsible and is required to work in his area of expertise. We don’t force work at anyone during the month long induction. Instead, we motivate our new comers to take charge of those work area which they feel they can perform best as per the principles of Mr Pramod Batra, a great management thinker. Once you have placed and proved yourself in your area of expertise, you can always opt for job enrichment. This is our recruitment ideology.
You have to place yourself after orientation and familiarization during the induction period and have to win our confidence and make us confident. Your attitude and behavior will reflect your confidence level. Because in order to know a person we have to deal with him/her, no matter how much we converse / discuss during interviews it’s a bit difficult to know a person as a whole without giving him some time to prove his worth. After the induction and placing yourself, you have to submit your plan of action and perform. If you want to achieve your position and responsibility in vertical and horizontal hierarchy you have to perform accordingly with specific target orientation, ownership and as a responsible person.
Some people whom we have removed from our organization due to non or poor performance, have put derogatory comments on internet. We have taken legal action against such individuals and sent them behind bars. You can visit our website and read the comments of our staff regarding their growth and belongingness as well you can gather information via talking to them. People have been associated with us since last 40 years. We request you to scrutinize yourself on each issue and then decide yourself whether to join the organization or not.

We have not seen any formation of Labor Union at LSC Infratech in last 40 years. People from outside have tried to form Union but, we at LSC are so well knitted with each other personally that such incidents have never occurred at LSC. Grievances and problems of staff are well acknowledged and addressed with a personal touch that dissatisfaction does not arise. The societies in general give red carpet treatment to our staff, as societies are aware with the reputation and fame of the company.
The Indian Corporates are suffering from IR and Labor Union issues which consumes its 80% of productive energy and resources. We do not have such issues at LSC. This results in full dedication of staff and 100% utilization of productive energy and resources.
It’s been our 40 years record that we have not laid off our staff during the recession, instead we have worked hard and paid our staff well even during the times of losses. This is all due to the relationship of LSC Family and our sense of belongingness.

Who should join us?
We need such individuals who are honest and committed towards their career. Career oriented individuals are dedicated and hardworking. We need laborious individual who should be a good learner, whom we can guide and who can turn up as per our expectations. The individual must be a team player who can work with ownership and treat LSC as a family.
One should be full of management tactics such as Satyawan – Savitri, one should live in the present, should be ready for any circumstances like Del Carnegie, be honest as Mahatma Gandhi, knowledge acquirer like Arjun, Dedicated like Bhim, Disciplined and Mannered like Nakul who could follow protocol and supportive like Sahadev. Our way of living and commerce should not be like that of Duryodhan, who was desperate for his own benefits only, instead we try to live on the principles of Lord Krishna, which cater to the benefit of the whole world and society.
We don’t need such type of individual who are isolated, selfish, opportunist, egoist, having superiority complex, critic. You should be suitable climatically, demographically, according to management, product and job profile. if you are ready to work dedicatedly and are determined for big career growth along with leading a happy and satisfied life then only join LSC. Decide yourself after due diligence whether you fit in or not.
We do business with pious intentions. According to us definition of Dharma is that you should not do any harm to anyone in the society and environment from your thoughts, words or deeds, as we are originated from this very society and the environment. We are firm believers that even if the Law of the Land permits us to do certain activities in business and they are harmful for the society, we will not do that business. Such is our determination towards our society and culture.
These establishments are not mine alone, they are owned by us, you, society and are heritage of the country. Hence we all should work in accordance with Institutions, Society, and Environment for the benefit of the country.
